I've been fishing the DPR for almost a year now and my addiction is still not abating. Count me in.

Count me in on this!

So I recall reading about last years floatilla and I believe that there was some grilling out or something that happened after...Not sure if something like that is planned again for this year, but if so, is there anything I can bring? Brats, burgers, etc? Unfortunately I don't have a portable grill to offer but would like to help out if I can.

Yea, a tad bit of cooking is done. Nothing huge, but your welcome to bring some food. I'll bring a small table top grill and I'm sure others will as well. Skifish1 will be having caviar and chardonnay as usual.

20 Yaks ?? Pike will be running down river when they see you guys float on up......Yikes

Hope for some rain the water is very low up this way.

I unfortunately wont be able to make it anymore, got hired on a job. have a good times guys!

Looks like we found a new photo for next year's floatilla flyer.

So getting a few things cleared up for anyone new to this.

We are meeting at the Canoe Launch on Rt 60 (Townline rd) after sunrise. That will be our takeout in the afternoon. Hopefully we are all there by 630-7 and can leave a few cars behind and head upstream to the launch. I will be leaving my grill and some food at the take out as well.

*If you have done this section before and already have a shuttle possible you can head straight to the put in at Oak Spring Rd, called the Oak Spring rd canoe launch. The rest of us will try to be there by 7-715(hopefully) to launch.

*Field Notes - the put in can be muddy at Oak Spring during low water. Bring a pair of rubber boots or wear waders. After that we will floating a shallow, somewhat weedy section. A lot of shallow boring flats surrounded by the crucial dropoffs we are all targeting. Pike will be in 4 inches of water and in 4ft of water, not in 8ft of water, because there is no 8ft of water, so be prepared to fish mostly shallow.

The average float time for that section is roughly 5hrs.
