I'm an hour away and fish so infrequently now it's ridiculous. =(

I did send him a link to "fishlikeagirl" (when I wrote it) in hopes he would use it but it probably wasn't at all the type of report he was looking for...totally understandable.

I keep hoping I get fired so I can fish again but they just keep promoting me!

You tell a good story man!! Whenever I sent Dale my stuff, he always put 100% of the report in Stray Casts. I would pick the best 2-3 lines and send them to him on Monday so it made print. Like Ken said... Your Father will soon be getting phone calls about you being the DPR guy for the Sun-Times! My pops still gets a kick out of it.

Thanks btw Ken for getting me that hookup!! Dale is class A people and never once not thanked me for any report I have giving him.

Shoot my wife and kids haven't made a big deal out of anything I got in print since I did the article with Steve Quinn in In Fisherman. It doesn't even rate a yawn anymore. The relatives used to call every time but that stopped too. I guess after a while they just get used to it.

What amazes me is the people you meet out on the water who thinks you are god's gift to fishing just because they saw your picture and/or namein the paper. What kills you is when they say, you look so much older in person. No cracks from the old fart on the Fox.

Of course, no one objects to my fishing 250 plus days a year, so it evens out.

Keep it up guys, good stuff from the Fox.

I have never once thought of myself as an expert fisherman. What I can do is read moving water better than most. Some times when I cast to one of those spots, a fish cooperates. Most times not. Do it enough times though and it looks like you know what you're doing.
