I was gonna start a thread that I'm gonna keep updating as I continue tying.

Recently I went to michaels and picked up some extra feathers of different colors.

Tonight I tied a wooly bugger I call it the "Wooly Bugger Lion Fish"

So I decided to tie up one more. With some of the cool feathers I picked up today and some new thread coated with beeswax I made another streamer with some colors jenna (the lady) picked out. After I applied the head cement she added some pink glitter on the pink thread and another coat of cement to make she shiny pink glitter stick. I know it's girly but i like it. I wonder what would hit it.

The "Watermelon Seed Streamer"

Great energy.
For what it's worth , from a newbie, instead of inventing 'new' flies, I'd suggest study the proven , easy flies. FF is all about history, sport, and patience. Lots of the latter and lots of zen.
Objectively, the bugger tail needs to be a bit more flowing with marabou and hackle needs to be used on the body, chennille too. Or something similar.
The watermelon tail will most likely put the fly in a spin. You have a big , stiff rudder on the end.
Micheals has some stuff, but not much good fly stuff unfortunately.

I always F-up the zen part , BTW

X2

It's always fun to tie your own creations, but tie the proven ones first and learn your technique. Then your own creations will look great and reflect your tying skills.

But those are looking AWESOME for your first couple of flies. I'd suggest trying to tie some smaller flies right now though, do a few small scuds and other trout nymphs. Then the bigger flies will come easier.

I had some great luck today on the Dupe with a wooly bugger, it was olive body with black tail and black hackle. I added to strips of flash down the sides. Nothing I caught was bigger than 10 inches, but they were hitting it like made. In two hours I caught maybe 15 fish, mostly small Smallies and few gills. I'll show you it when we meet up.

What's this about the nail polish?

SJS- I'm gonna have google Palmer. Not sure what that is.

I tied another one that I didn't post and it worked out amazing today. Sank nicely, the tail had nice swim action. Looked like a minnow. Caught a few bass and a few nice gills.

SJS. After I tied a couple nymphs and the rabbit tail I wanted some thing with rabbit that had color. So I tried the colored copper wire. It seemed to draw a lot of attention. I really like the way rabbit moves through the water. The water was super clear and I could see the bass rise five feet to hit it. And the gills and sunfish I had to keep it away from. I had no pliers and I was tired of them swallowing my flies and me having to finagle my fly back.
