Went wading for a while this morning, caught a little ol' smallmouth. Nothing crazy.

What i primarily wanted to post tho is that i left my camera stupidly on top of the truck as we left Blackhawk Forest Preserve(i think thats the name of the preserve we were at.....right off 31?). In any event, anyone know the number for the ranger station that is right by there? Also, if anyone hears of anyone that found a camera in a little black case in that parking lot i would be really really really really thankful. Thanks everyone! I would drive back out there but we just got back to chicago.......long drive for what im sure would be a lost trip....

thanks again if anyone hears or sees anything!

yeah, i got the same number online. No answer, just continues to ring. I have absolutely no faith in getting the camera back just figured id throw out a little note just in the off chance someone does come across it. Id be willing to bet its flattened on the road somewhere. At the very least i hope someone finds it and ends up being able to use it (it was a really nice camera).

bummer

thanks for the help! Happy fishing!

Doesn't look good...yet.

I rang the doorbell at the residence, nobody answered, and it looked like no one was living there, even though there was a squad car and Ford Pickup in the drive. Didn't see anything in the parking lot either. Sorry.

For everyone else, I caught 6 smallies and 1 snagged carp (first cast) in the hour I was there. All were off the big lay-down tree by the last picnic table to the east.

thanks for the once over samurai. Like i said i really had no expectation of having it turn up. Probably slid off somewhere further up the road. Regardless, i appreciate your efforts! Great job with the catches as well! Definitely better than the outing i had saturday morning!

Sorry to hear about your camera deathbreath, what a bummer. I don't think that cabin has been manned with a ranger in a while.

Great job, Samurai..that tree has produced zip for me since early this spring. Might have to try it again next time I'm down that way.

I wet-waded that whole area two weeks ago, (when it was still summer), and tried to figure out where the most likely ambush/resting spot would be. For once I guessed correctly.

This is scaring me. I'm actually beginning to learn.

Hey the number to call about your camera is (630) 232-5980

That's the main office number for the forest preserve. They will direct you to the FP police to see if they found it or can call the operations crew for that area to see if they found it.
