Tons of great advice! I would also suggest crashing it into everything and anything that you can spot or at times I like selecting a crankbaits that runs or dives deeper than the water level I'm currently in. (Crankbait that runs 10ft when I'm in 6-8 FOW) That way I keep constant contact with the bottom and sometimes that triggers a reaction strike. Another piece of advice is changing the treble hooks typically with Rapala's I don't since they are VMC already but the Minus 1 or I think they are called (1 Minus) are cheap hooks and at times feel like they are too small for the bait purchased. Hope this helps!

Hello All,

@Adrenalinejunki, thanks for asking this question! I have only had limited success on some cranks, and would love to get better at them, so this is a great thread for me!

Everyone else, A good friend of mine from MI, suggested that I pick up some KVD square bills to try this summer. I grabbed a few to try them out once it warms up, but has anybody else tried these? Any feedback...Any Success?

I have a few KVD square bill cranks in varying sizes. They are great crankbaits I have the silent type which I like since I have different types with rattles in them. In my experience though I've had to tune these cranks when they have come out of the package. Nothing drastic but they didn't run straight out of the package. However after that I have had great success especially on a Gizzard Shad color not gonna say where but it does work.
