Since I got the yak, I have been going a bit nuts with mini mods. This is my mod of the Sonar Pod that comes with the Lure 11.5 and 13.5 Kayaks.

Added some rubber plugs on the back end of sheet metal screws to keep things from getting torn up.

Made a little outlet for the pod so I can hook up right to my charger without opening the pod or taking the battery out.

Battery sits snugly on top of styrofoam (in case water ends up at the bottom) and is strapped down tight.

Added a hinge and fastened the outlet.

And the ball mount up top.

This DOES NOT look like a bomb...

Nice clean work on the sonar. And yes, it does look like it's ticking and will blow up soon.
