That's what I meant by a sailboat. Just the fact that the area of the pontoons would have acted like a sail catching the air but you are right about the control part. I just think that I am in pretty good shape and had a hard time paddling my yak into the wind and could not imagine something as bulky as an inflateable in the same water. The other thing about the wind was that there was no let up once she started so if you are getting blown away from where you need to be, as Ron said, you may not be able to get back.

Thanks Ron. I have to say when I was deciding wether or not to get a yak your videos and the guy from lake michigan angler were the deciding factor; to get a yak!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks and thanks for watching. Hope I have some more vids to share as the fall wears on.

Very nice! Now you're hooked im sure! Wait til you have a 20 lber pull you around. Just an fyi - that channel you were in is loaded with fish. Try dragging some full sized reef runners in there. I've had very good luck with the naked color. The coho are also coming in too. Now is the time to really hammer them!

Thanks Mplant. I got to get some reef runners. We were at Great Lakes today and did not do that great but was awesome to be out on the big lake in a yak. Thanks for all the advice, I appreciate it. I will have a new vid up today or later tonight but I got a lot of nice pics to sort through. Gonna hopefully get back out this weekend and hit it hard!!!!!

Thanks DW if you get a yak you will not regret it. This has been one of the best fishing seasons of my life and interestingly enough, I have not done that well with fish sizes or numbers. Just great to get out and learn some new techniques and meet some new fishing buds!!!!
