Sometimes Alive will catch fish deadsticking, but often you have to impart the action with the Gulp products. I prefer to just buy the regular Gulp in the packages because dealing with the tops of the Alive containers is nasty. I would recommend keeping it in a tupperware container and zip lock bag or eventually you will wind up with a mess and that stuff STINKS
