Im lookin to buying a trolling motor and i have a few questions
im getting a minn kota

1. What is a good lb thrust to buy for the average row boat
2. What kind of battery do i need ( What is a good brand) What do you use.
3. What is a good charger ( What is the best brand) What do you use

Anything else i schould be aware of please tell me.

Any advice would be terrifice

Dom,
Preferably, you should get the biggest 12 volt TM possible. It's nice to have the power when you need it. With a 14' rowboat I used to own, I used a 17 lb Minn Kota and that did the job for me but I also had an outboard. So I really think all the 36lb and above TMs will work just fine. I definitely would get MK over Motorguide. The Maxxum is nice since it doesn't use as much juice. Hope it helps.

I'll sell you my minnkota trolling motor. It's a 12 volt. I forgot how many lbs of thrust. I used it whenever I rent a rowboat. I've used it 4 times in the last year. I'll sell it to your for $50.
