How does it feel compared to a Yamamoto Senko? As far as softness
I'm able to make them softer then Gary's or firmer based on how much plastisol softener I use. Currently they're quite similar
Ah cool. I have some hand poured Senkos and hate them cause they're so hard compared to Yamamoto. So I was curious

Those swimbaits look really good. I'd definitely throw one of those on the back of a swimjig/chatterbait. LOL- need any field testers?

Have you ever figured out the cost per bait? I know those molds aren't cheap. I have thought about making my own tube jigs but I never have. Guys should form a group that make them together so you can share molds.

cost saving is significant after the initial buy of plastisol/glitter/coloring/molds ect...i don't want to spoil it for those who do make them like myself and Bassman but there is definitely a huge difference in price per bait compared to buying them at the stores
it also depends on the volume of plastisol you're buying compared to price per ounce when pouring

Bassman: You should consider starting an eBay store. Your plastics would definitely sell.

BTW - have you considered WD40 ?

Agree. I already averaged out the cost per bait and its def cheaper. The kicker is I now have close to 500 in molds alone. Figure at average $5 per 10 pack or so that's 1000 total baits needed in order to pay off the molds alone. Initial investment is steep but I quite frankly don't care about turning a profit at this time since it's so far away. I'm just enjoying having a few beers after work and creating some cool lures. It's a fun hobby. It's also nice knowing my days of buying plastics or tossing them out when they rip are over. Plus I like the idea of a constant beer money coming in.

With the Hawks going late and jake throwing the no hitter I stayed up a little later pouring tonight. I have to say I'm getting in a groove. More of an assembly line feel. First time I had to remelt constantly to get things the way I wanted. Yesterday and today....knock on wood....0 remelting.

Tonight it was natural colors with craw n fluke. Watermelon brown, red n black flake with garlic infusion. Sucks that the pics don't do much justice. Pics make them look all green but depending on angle color shifts from green to brown.

Them there is some quality baits dude, nice work. The customizing aspect of these alone is justified, much less the financial side of saving money and/or selling. So what molds do you have and what molds do you plan on getting?
