Hi everyone!

I'm new to the site. I've been trying to join for about a month now and was having trouble activating my account. I'm glad I can finally partake in the discussions.

I'm primarily a muskie/pike guy, been fishing for them nearly my entire life. But just this summer started getting more into bass and taking advantage of some of the hotspots the Chicago area has to offer.

These are two of my biggest caught out of Lake Arlington, both of these fish caught and released over the past few weeks. Got them on soft plastics rigged either weightless or drop shot (which are both two completely new styles of fishing for me, trying to get proficient at them.)

First..welcome to WCF. Nice catches! The drop shot rig IMO is one of the best fish producing presentations especially in the hot summer months. It takes a lot of patience but will produce bigger fish. Keep honing your bass skills it will pay off.

Nice bass, ccorso! I used to live in Arlington Hts about 12 years ago, but never hit Lake Arlington, just rode the bike path. Come out for ice fishing and you'll see some good pike. Also several guys fish the Des Plaines River and do well on pike there. Welcome to WCF, it's the best site around by far.......LZ
