Finally broke the year-long skunk using a ned rig and Z-Man TRD plastic. I was casting near a fallen log and the reedline and slowly bringing it along the bottom. I don't think any of the bass were more than 12"-13" but that's ok. Moved down the shoreline and lost a larger one at the shore when it threw the hook. I'm just happy that I finally caught a bass at Old School; I had tons of short strikes last year.
Really interested to see how this lure works out as the water warms up because the lure floats so it presents differently than other plastics. Instead of laying parallel to the bottom it sticks up perpendicular. The buoyancy also causes it to sink quite slowly so hopefully that will draw more strikes.

Try the N/E corner of that place. It is a little bit of a walk but was worth it year's ago when I used to fish there. Also, just outside the cat tails on the N/W side if you can get down there. Dancing Pearl zoom flukes t-rigged did most of the damage back then.
I caught all of those guys in the N/E corner. Saw a school of them a couple weeks ago when the weather was warming up in that same spot, figured I would start there today. How were you able to get around in those cattails let alone cast without snagging?

And yeah @catchafew, with the wind out of the north I had to put 'em on so that I could cast without any problems. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
