I would just use a wide gap or octopus hook for a slip sinker or split shot rig. Most have trouble with a proper hook set when it comes to circles. We always do best with drop shots or trolling deep diving cranks behind boards. I won't give up the specifics because it seems to be the only tecnique that works that isn't broadcasted on the net. The only thing i will say is they a big and reach 25-30ft with the troll. I'm no a-hole but after the money I've spent and the way I've been treated by staff ill let you in on a little secret. Bring a good deep cell or two from home and carry it in a backpack. The bats they provide are well past the point of replacing and I get less than an hour of trolling compared to the 3 hours when they first opened. My personal 27+ series will last atleast 3hrs a pop before fading on speed 5. I bring my hds on occasion but have most weeds and rock piles marked with a handheld. Weeds there grow in over 30ft with the clearwater. I have verified this with the aqua view. But if all else fails just fish 10-15ft on the first break near spawning areas. Black and purple finesse worms, 4-6in, on dropshot rig should keep you busy with bass this time of year. If you want an easy way to target pike or walleye throw a lipless crank on wind blown shore or swim baits and spinners over deep weeds, 8-15FOW. This is a trophy fishery that can compete with the states top fisheries but not the best place for a quick first trip,
