Hit the Dupe today with a buddy, and got a nice surprise. We started out kinda slow with some dink Smallies and a few gills. Then as we got down river Chris nailed a decent, probably 15 inch Smallmouth on a Rebel Craw. I had been getting a few more dinks and was content with that. Then it started to sprinkle just a little bit and we came to a bend that looked VERY good. Sure enough we started killing them! Second or third cast in the area and I hooked into what I thought was going to be a MONSTER, however when I got it (them?) close to the kayak it was two fish! They both hit my shallow running crank bait, both fish measured 14 inches, so that's 28 inches of Smallmouth fight in one cast. After that we continued to slay the fish for another 15 minutes, we stopped counting after we had landed a 15 fish from this one hole, they hitting so fast there was no time for pics. Kept on down the river and caught a few more, but the frenzy was done. Only bad thing is that somewhere one of my rods went in the drink, but I guess after a day like today it is just a sacrifice to the fish gods.
