Winnebasschamp is right about the weeds this year in that area. Last year, I saw a bunch of people on the northern end, right by the boat launch. Looks like that area is typically good for gills during the summer. Right in front of Jack and Lydia's may not be the best place for ice fishing - just my two cents.

not good with posting direct websites so if link doesnt work give me a message

I checked it out, thanks! From the sounds of it, it's hard to come by a permanent job in the area you're from? I'll keep my eye out though!

BPM, keep in mind the weeds were terrible there this season! They never grew too thick all season... The best weeds I found were all on the northern end of the lake, from that midlake weedbed and to the northeast of there.[/quote]

Yeah last year the weeds didn't look too good either and when we were done, felt fortunate to ice the one pike... I agree with Fishthoughts in that the steep dropoff was terrible out in front of Jack's last year other than dink perch... I have seen reports of pike between 22"-30" in 6-8 feet of water on tip ups and that is why that SE side will have my attention this time around...

We'll see what happens... Either way I look forward to seeing you guys there again and likewise the shanty is open to anyone who wants to stop in a jig...
