jack wants a guarantee of 40 people to host it at about $20-$25 a person and would include the boat, food, keg.

dont think we could get that many.

Aris,

The pole thing has to do with one boat may use 5 poles on live worms/senkos while casting another and if 2 guys in a boat have more poles + casting...big advantage

with 2 poles you can switch from a top water to a senko quick and just fish one pole ..so maybe to keep it simple just ONE pole

no live bait

whoever takes control of this tourney can make the rules,I`ll just follow lol
:D

we can sit here all night debating lol

Keep the ideas and thoughts coming! That's what we need.

As for the stocking fund, there seems to be a lot of mixed reaction to that, so just like tipping a waitress, let's simply all make sure we give what we can, even if it's just a couple of bucks to the fund.

I like the idea of getting Jack involved. Even if we can't get 40 people, which is not likely, perhaps we can work something out with Jack. Augy, Aris (Culprit) and I will be in touch with each other in the next few days to hammer out some details.

I dont think getting Jack in on this is a good idea(unless you are trying to promote the site)

it's like the first weekend(I went) 5 or so boats just a few rules and a few bucks between us

you may have insurance problems if it's promted through the site..but i am not sure Jack would know

yes sheep. most likely on a sat.

honestly, the stocking efforts put forth by our event will probably end up in jack's pocket. besides, our stocking, if it actually happens, will probably end up on someones dinner table. there are alot of bass taken out of deep as food. just look at the wall of fame pictures by the office. stringer after stringer of nice size bass.   jack should stocking the lake himself, it's in his best interest to do so.

i say we take the $100 bucks and print some wcf t's or hat's so everyone walks away with some goodies. that way jason doesn't have to fork up the moolah himself for us to take something home with us. also this portion of the money should go to picnicing fees.

or, take that money and donate it to a respectable charity. call it a donation by the members of wcf.

i was thinking that we shouldn't do a draw system for partners. because aris and toothdoc would want to fish with their kids and maybe some of us would like to bring a friend and that wouldn't be right to match a friend with some stranger. we'll partner up prior to the event. just find someone you wanna fish with and hookup via post or pm. it's your call. let the matching game begin.

let's keep this simple by all agreeing to an honor system. forget the digital scales and go by length. we'll just take a photo with a measuring device and total length will decide the winner. we'll all be the judges at the end to decide the winners so that it's fair.

no restrictions on how many rigs you want to bring as long as only one line per man is out in the water at a time. it's not a very big lake so we'll be able to see one another fairly well and watch each other. but remember, we're on an honor system right. and no live bait. it would just cause more problems.

whatever electronics you wanna use is a go. as long as your not shocking up fish.

we do have to pay jack for picnicing privelages on his property so we'll cover that with the entry fees as i mentioned earlier. also, they don't allow us to bring our own booze. it must be purchased from jack. (this is where he rakes in the money) remember, they have a bar with a killer men's bathroom too.

we'll do bbq potluck with everyone bringing something. post what you'd like to bring. i think they have bbq pits so grills we probably don't need. think grilling items such as dogs, brats, burgers and drinks, chips, whatever. i'll be bringing some korean bbq. you'll love it!!!!

i think the tournament should be from 6am to 12pm and festivities can go as long as people wanna stay and shoot the breeze.

5 fish per man. you can catch more but your top 5 fish will count. and again, remember it's an honor system. we'll hold each other to it. just to ease everyones mind, we can either have a time and date stamp from our cameras or take the photo with your watch. the odds of you catching two 18 inch fish within 5 mins is highly unlikely therefore this should keep everyone honest.

ok, did i forget anything?? probably so, but this should get us in the right direction. keep the suggestions coming. man, i'm pooped after this post.

Augy... I think you summed it up real well - let's just make this like our other outings with a little cherry on top. And of course, the honor system!

sounds good ...what's the date?

Sept, Oct..maybe Nov

10/7 , 10/14? Still kind of warm ...indian summer?

weather will be a big concern could rain at any time

no live bait I thought (she is a bobber worm & beer fisherwoman
with the phrase "can we go yet after 5 min with out a bite")...LOL

I can probably do Sept 23rd, 30th and Oct. 14th and 21st. If you guys want to go later than that the weather becomes a factor with sunrise being a lot later and also the fishing may not be as good.
