I don't think mplant1 or Joe D were being asses... if you're not gonna keep a fish, then why snag? There's not a good chance of catch & release with snagging.

thats the point why release carp back into lake michigan

and just to clear things up i dont think snagging is rite but carp are invasive look at the illinois river we would never want the lake to turn out like that so snagging them to me is doing a good thing for lake michigan thats just the way i see it
