I live a bit further north than you Augy so I might just head up straight from my house in Buffalo Grove. I will be there by 5:00 a.m. though anxiously awaiting my first Deep Lake experience. I have seen so many great reports from this lake I just hope that the fish decide to cooperate. :D

im tryin to figure out the best way to transport my motor in my car... if i lay it down won't some fluids leak out of it? lol. and i have a lincoln LS, and would prefer not to get oil n such all over the trunk or anywhere else in the car... the trolley situation... i know the trolley works, not sure if the battery is good, or if i even have a battery anymore. will have to look into it. ill check it out tomorrow sometime... ill let yall know if i have motors or not by friday evening :D the gas motor should be fine, just gotta put some gas in it and try to fire it up.

Hey guys, first post, wish i could go up there saturday and meet some of you, but im gonna head up there sunday morning, never fished that lake but i fished all my life on the chain up there... anyways good luck and save some fish for me.

Maybe since the weather might be hit or miss, we should just figure out partners when we get up there Saturday morning and see who actually makes it.

ya I'm definately gonna pass on this outing... I'd rather not go sit in an aluminum lightning rod during some nasty storms just to catch some fish :D Although I'd like to, the wife probably would pass on it as my life insurance policy isn't that large lmao. We should probably set it up for a diff day in June, say next weekend maybe?

just a thought, you might want to call jack's and see if they have any policy about their boats and t-storms, they just might require them pulled in during inclement weather. just a thought, hate to see you guys all make the trip to be land-locked.

let's keep an eye on the weather and make a decision by 9pm tonight. check back then to see who's in and out.

if it stays 30% and isolated i'm willing to make the haul and take a chance. we shall see how it unfolds by tonight.

everyone start doing the anti-rain dance!!

A decision later tonight sounds good to me. You never know what might happen to the forecast over the next 12 hours or so. It's Chicago. The weathermen are almost never right and the weather can switch in an instant. It was supposed to rain a lot yesterday evening too, but up by me we got nothing. I got my anti-rain shoes on right now just dancing away!! :D

welcome aboard stevo! we'll try to leave some fish for you but no promises.

good luck 2U2!

Here's the latest from NBC5 weather:

It will be a cloudy morning. There is a slight chance we could see some rain. Temperatures will climb from 68 to 80 by late this morning. Winds will be 5 to 10 MPH from the southwest turning from the south as the morning progresses.

I can live with a slight chance of rain. No mention of thunderstorms. Several sites are now backing off their original forecast of heavy rain/thunderstorms for tomorrow morning. Keep that no-rain dance going guys. :D :D :D
