Good reading Slider. Thanks!

Lake County still has ICE on many ponds so we will see what the warmer weather this weekend with some possible rain will do. Got the itch...may need to commute south soon.

Slow down cowboy ...it's still winter here in the mid west

We have a ways to go before 100% "ice out" ....

I am going to change my prediction to first week of March. :D
I'm not sure you proved anyone wrong. Doc predicted it and you never said anything one way or another :p Nice bass you caught though :D

WOW what a difference a day makes

The small pond that I check has quickly started to melt
I would say by days end the edges will be open water.
By next week the ice may be all but gone

If not this weekend then for sure next week. The Tribune forecast shows not a single day over the next 5 days with a high temperature below 48 degrees. They predict 63 degrees today, dipping back down between 48 and 50 over the weekend and then back to 60 on Tuesday. Lots of rain in the forecast too. We should have open water on many lakes/ponds very soon.
