Just got off the phone with John at Lee's and he's going to open at 8:30 for us again. gotta love him.

his summer hours start April 1st. m-f opens at 7am and sat/sun opens at 6am.

I wish I could make it boys but I will be out of town. Hopefully next tournament. I met John yesterday and he's a really cool guy and has great prices on import tackle.

I'm not happy with it, But I wont be fishing the tournament tomorrow, For specific reasons i'd rather not specify. But i can Say I did make a bet with that reason and we wont miss one tournament next month (wish I had my own wheels)

I did Pre-fish today and caught 5 All sight fishing the bank along the rock line wasn't at the dam 2-3 guy's fishing it with floats no luck. The polorised glasses helped like every other day ! 1 13 1/2" and 1 12" were the biggest. Letting the minnow free swim with a size 10 hook was the ticket for the big ones. I caught 5 total 3 on a pumpkin seed tube rigged with a 2/0 worm hook. and the 2 bigger ones came on the minnow. the others weren't far from 12" but not quite there. Really muddy there. But the fish should cooperate. All fish I threw at today were active, I croutched down and all the fish seemed more aggressive when they didn't have an I dea i was there (with all clear water fish)

round 3 was a big bust!

had only 4 show up. jay came just after 11 to make the 5th but it was too late. the fishing sucked. no keepers with only a few dinks.

SO.....round 3 will be rescheduled. date TBA.

everyone had enough of the wwd skunkfest so we all decided to head over to beck. cubsfan was the only one who got a fish...a shad. he lost a 12" bass right at shore. everyone else got the big skunk again.

aris and tim (kfishboy) showed up late to beck. everyone else left but i fished with them for a bit. skunked again.

hit the trifecta. we went to oakton pond to try our luck for a few minutes. aris got another shad. tim and i got the skunk.

3 skunks for me in the same day. well, the 2 dinks i got at the wwd really didn't count.

it was nice to get out to beck and throw some lures with the new reel tho.

Don't feel too bad, Augy. I was out on the Lake Michigan front this morning from 9:30-noon, fishing everywhere from burhnam to dusable harbors, and got the big skunk as well. Everyone out there that I ran into shared the same experience (at least until when I gave up). We were tossing various lures for browns, steelies, and cohos, and nothing was working. Seems like today was tough fishing everywhere.

It was a tough day for fishing, but the warm temperatures were nice. I guess that the fish at the WWD have seen every minnow, nightcrawler and lure trick by this late in the year.

maybe in this winter we cought all the fishes in wwd so now they can recognize you guys. maybe :lol:
