do you really want to drive 45 mins on the highway after several rounds of crown royal??? lol
Rootpro is my designated driver!! Let's get tanked!
lol nice try mike! if it is a bar i will be there for sure. dont ask how i will get in

I second (or third) the Hooters vote! Or how about Ozzies at Waukegan/Milwaukee Ave. Good food, full bar, and not very crowded. Plus rootpro can get in there.
I'm available this Thurs, Fri, Sat all day. Next week I'm off Sat, Sun, Mon but might be out of town for the late season deer hunt.

Do they have any drink specials? Thirsty Thursdays? 2$ longnecks?

Any word on a meeting yet?
I hope soo.. I can really use a beer right now!!!

J/K, but thanks for bringing this up again.. I will for sure be in if someone points out a place and time... Hooters has decent food with decent beer prices, or maybe we can even go to a brewery, great food, but kinda pricey though. But Hooters has good wings for a good price especially for a 50 Piece of hot wings. Lets figure this out guys. Sounds like a great thing to do!

We could potentially be 3 months out from being able to fish on Deep Lake's open waters again  .
I seem to remember attempting to fish there last year on April 26th. If my memory serves me correctly, it was way too windy and we ended up going somewhere else. April weather at Deep might be pushing it a little. I think that fishing there starting in May would be more realistic.

Having said that, when are we going to discuss this?
I can remember a year we were fishing on the chain for crappie in the boat, it was 70' in february! I think it was the first weekend! And the fishin was HOT!

No reply :?:

I guess the rules will stay the same for 2009 and they were Fine "from the get go"
so no changes needed.....

1) Ya catch enough quality fish you win
2) The next best comes in 2nd...

Sounds good 2 me

If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Game on !!!!!!!

I agree, but I wanted to lobby for a couple more Busse tourney's for 09. I think it went very well. Nice turnout and a more centralized location. I know I only made 2 tourneys last year. But, hopefully everyone that actually attends the tourneys will agree to maybe 2-3 Busse tourneys this year. Also, what about a team tourney? Might be fun. But, I know everyone will be pm'ing Matt and Tony to partner up!

Just my 2 cents. If no one agrees, I will still show up this year.

I hope I am not stepping on anyone's toes by throwing these ideas out there. I went to one T last year and I plan on going to as many as I can this year. I think the format you guys have is great and I wish I had stumbled on this a couple years back. The only things I was going to mention or bring up for discussion if a meeting was going to be had was:

1) mandatory livewells- using the cooler / aerator system- let's face it- putting a stringer in the mouth of a bass dramatically increases the odds of delayed mortality. However, it is a cost.
2) No personal boats on Deep. It provides a huge advantage.
3) 1st, 2nd and big bass. Most Ts pay out 1 in 5. I'd rather have more chances to win even if it was for less money. Plus, most of the time big bass would be in the top 2 so it would still be only 2 winners. I'm just wondering, how many times have you only had 1 winner?
4) Night T- I thought the idea of a Deep Lake Saturday night T was great.
5) Do you have a Classic? Maybe it is something to consider. Each guy pays an extra $1 at each T and/or you take some from the payout and you fish for it at the end of the year. You have to qualify. Double the points for Angler of the Year.
6) Multiple Ts per month. It seems that a lot of people are stating that they plan on fishing these Ts. How many is too many? You'd have to get creative with points but it can be done.

Anyways, I'm just throwing these ideas out there. I've run poker leagues and fantasy leagues so I am always thinking about this stuff. I plan on fishing whatever you guys decide on.

1) mandatory livewells-

Yes..

2) No personal boats on Deep

Yes...

3) 1st, 2nd and big bass.

Looking into a new payout structure

4) Night T-

Love it ...Top water action ...

5) Do you have a Classic?

We should!!!!

6) Multiple Ts per monh.

I agree.

ALL good points Paul and we have talked about
many of them...... just nothing formal as of yet
