I've seen people hook fish in the tunnel through the gate, but have never seen a fish landed. I often hear splashes in there as well. What fish is back there? Large bass? Or is it urban legend?

What the hell is the point of those bars anyway? I mean my dad is a mechanic and those nuts are easy to take off so we can just let the grate down easily and fish it then put it back up. I have the tools right next to me if any1 is seriously up for it? And would we get introuble for it?

RootPro, The bars can keep any big debree from pushing through the tunnel and ending up in salt creek, heck, if a body was to be found in the tunnel it would get hung up in the bars, The bars are there for a reason. One may be so no kids can go in the pipe, etcc.... Heck, you never know what's in there. Someone can get seriously injured or even get killed in there. I wouldn't mess with anything at Busse as that can be a big ticket for Destruction of Property, But if you take it down, I can gaurentee you I will fish it ASAP!!! :lol: Hell, I am not the one with a 18mm socket with a Battery operated 18v Impact Gun in my fishing back-pack!
