R.I.P. George Kooymans

George was the guitarist and founder of Golden Earring and wrote their big hits Twilight Zone and Radar Love. He founded the band when he was 13.

I have a friend, an older lady in her late 70s we just loves Twilight Zone. She says when it comes on the car radio, she gets lost in it and can find herself "driving 20 miles without realizing it." Considering the song is about 5 or 6 minutes long, she really must have a lead foot.

I also used to know the guy who ran their fan club as he used to get Kansas bootlegs from me. He'd call me on the phone from overseas and could talk my ear off for over an hour about Golden Earring.

I must have missed something. I've never heard of Mr. Roach, his band or really understand why they are calling him a legend.

He looks a heck of a lot more like Mac Davis or Greg Brady than he does Bobby Whitlock.

R.I.P. J. Frank Wilson

OK. This musician died before this long thread began and I never heard of him until now, but he and his hair definitely needed some immortalization here. Donald .J. (Frank) Trump could only dream of having this guy's hair.
